Here are four reasons to start using Mozilla Firefox:
1) Simply type name of a website in Firefox address bar and hit Enter key.
The browser will take you to the most likely website (remember the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button on Google?). Try typing rediff in the Firefox address bar and hit Enter, you will be taken to rediff.com automatically.
If however, it does not find a suitable website, you will be provided with search results by Google. Try typing any random word into address bar, say man, and you will provided with Google search results page for keyword man.
You can also extend this feature to use Firefox as your Google Search engine, without having to install Google toolbar. Simply type whatever you want to search for in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key. Here you go with the Google search results directly presented to you. For example, type ‘How to stay healthy’ in the Firefox address bar and hit Enter. See the results for staying healthy. You don’t even have to manually go to Google.com to find what you want.
2) Use Ctrl+Enter Key Combination to go to .com sites. e.g. Type google and then hit Ctrl+Enter keys to go to Google.com. This trick works on IE as well.
3) Use Shift+Enter Key Combination to go to .net sites. e.g. Type riyaz and then hit Shift+Enter keys to go to riyaz.net
4) Use Ctrl+Shift+Enter Key Combination to go to .org sites. e.g. Type wikipedia and then hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter Keys to go to wikipedia.org.
Its simply the Best! Firefox rocks!!
Although I have tested this only on Firefox 2, it might work on earlier versions as well.
