NASA’s Phoenix spacecraft lands safely on Mars
NASA’s Phoenix spacecraft has landed safely on Mars, following a ten-month flight. This is the 38th spacecraft to be launched to Mars, and the 19th to arrive successfully, bringing the success rate to exactly 50 percent. It is also the 12th spacecraft to attempt a landing on Mars, and the 7th to successfully accomplish this.
